12th Doctor Fanfic-1

Blackboard's

This is a short little FanFiction I wrote that was meant to be set between 'Robots of Sherwood' and 'Listen'. There may be some minor mistakes or inaccuracies but I was fairly pleased. No copyright infringement is intended on the BBC's Doctor Who. It's just for fun!

The Doctor was scribbling on one of the many blackboards that had now become dotted around the console room over these last few adventures. Clara skipped happily up the stairs, as the Doctor seemed unaware. “We're next then?” The Doctor asked his machine.“A holiday?” Clara whispered to herself. “Doctor?”, Clara announced herself. “Oh, hello” The Doctor said as he moved to face Clara. “Why are you always writing on those blackboards? I mean, what's the point when you just wipe everything off every 5 minutes?” Clara asked in confusion.

“Well Clara... Once upon a time there was a beautiful shining world of red skies, and orange grass, and cities made of crystal and hills made of songs; and there were a grand civilisation of people known as 'Time Lords'. But then there was a most terrible war." "The Time war?", Clara suggested "Yes" the doctor said as a tear formed in the corner of his eye. "And as time went on this civilisation of gods turned into the most hateful destroyers of worlds. They used every weapon they could find. Except one; The Moment. "Now, I didn't use it but that's we're the problem lies. I refused to destroy the Time Lords or the Daleks, but kept them alive at their most dangerous state. Somewhere out there, there is a most hell like and stricken place, 'Gallifrey; the eternal world of war'.

"But why the blackboards?" "If you knew there was something out there that has the potential do destroy all of existence, would you want to keep it secure or let it free? The largest war in all of time and space could suddenly materialise next to the most peaceful place. And the war would begin again. My responsibility is to stop that from happening. So I have to know everything about it. But I can't do that if I don't know where it is so that's why I'm making calculations on the boards. I need to know its destination, it's size, it's status in space. That's why." "You could have just sayed you were making calculations.", teased Clara. "You know me Clara, I love to add a touch of drama", he smiled.
